This is Paul Davis, he visually impaired and bowls very effectively by having a string placed on the ground and uses it as his guide.

He is a member of our club and represented England in the World Visually Impaired Championship held in Australia 12 months ago, coming 3rd, I believe.

The image is of him receiving a cheque from the club, presented by Stephen Rossitor, sponsoring him to offset his travel costs to compete overseas.

He regularly competes in visually impaired competitions around the country and also when available for the club fixtures.

Cinderford Bowling Club won an award last year for being involved locally with Dementia sufferers, through Cross roads care.
